Particle skin resurfacing is the process of using micro particles or crystals to gently exfoliate the epidermal layer of skin in a controlled way. Often called microdermabrasion, PowerPeel or dermapeel, this treatment is used to resurface and stimulate new skin cell growth as well as stimulate and accelerate collagen production. Buffing away the old layer of skin will give skin a refreshed look and feel and the newly stimulated collagen causes a firmness that makes a more youthful appearance.
Several treatments are often required for maximum improvement as each is cumulative.
